BBQ Sauce Grilled Chicken – Smoky, Juicy & Finger-Licking Good!

Craving something smoky and packed with flavor? This BBQ grilled chicken is juicy on the inside, caramelized on the outside, and coated in rich, tangy BBQ sauce. Perfect for gatherings, family dinners, or weekend grilling!

Ingredients (Serves 3–4)

  • 500 g chicken (thighs, drumsticks, or breast)
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional, for extra glaze)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken:
In a bowl, mix BBQ sauce, olive oil, garlic, soy sauce, paprika, black pepper, and honey. Add chicken and coat well. Marinate for at least 1 hour (overnight for best flavor).
  2. Preheat the grill:
Heat your grill to medium heat. Lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
  3. Grill the chicken:
Place chicken on the grill and cook for 6–8 minutes on each side. Turn occasionally and brush extra BBQ sauce while grilling.
  4. Caramelize the sauce:
Grill until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce becomes sticky and slightly charred.
  5. Serve hot:
Remove from grill and let it rest for a few minutes. Serve with fries, salad, or coleslaw.

💡 Pro Tips

  • Don’t grill on high heat—BBQ sauce can burn quickly
  • Keep brushing sauce for a rich glaze
  • Use chicken thighs for juicier results

🔥 Optional Variations:

  • Oven-baked version (200°C for 35–40 minutes)
  • Spicy BBQ: add chili flakes or hot sauce
  • Add lemon juice for a tangy twist
